Inequality in recovering from the financial meltdown

Both the top 10% and the rest 90% had increases in median income in a similar pattern until the financial meltdown. But the recovery of the two groups is quite different. The top 10% median income surpassed the level before the financial meltdown, but the rest 90% median income was not even half of the level of 2007. Inequality only grows when hardship hits society.
