Students from higher-income families tend to get higher SAT scores. And this correlation is very high. Although SAT is the most objective factor in getting admission to highly selective colleges, this SAT is correlated with family income. There is no doubt that students from higher-income families have advantages in getting admitted to highly selective colleges compared to students from lower-income families.
